Every PhatBoy platform ships assembled. An enclosed crate shows up, you open it, and the platform comes off the crate and goes straight to its new home. Peripherals (seat, wheel, pedals, shifter) are sold separately.

The MM Simulations PhatBoy 150mm 4DOF Sim Racing Motion Platform is a high-performance motion simulator designed for competitive sim racing and immersive driving. With 150mm of actuator travel, four 1kW AC servo motors, heavy-duty construction and MM Simulations preset tuning profiles, the PhatBoy turns racing-game telemetry into acceleration, braking, weight transfer, cornering, elevation changes, curbs, impacts and chassis movement you feel through your entire body.

When the rear of the car starts getting light, you feel it. When you stand on the brakes entering a corner, you feel the weight move forward. When you launch out of the hole, the platform responds. When you clip a curb, drop a wheel, hit a compression or crest a hill, the simulator communicates that movement through your entire body.

Instead of relying entirely on visual cues and force feedback through the steering wheel, the PhatBoy gives your body another layer of feedback. With practice, you begin reacting to what the chassis is doing instead of waiting to see it happen on the screen.

A properly tuned motion simulator shouldn't simply shake. It should communicate what the virtual vehicle is doing. Under braking, the platform pitches forward and loads your body toward the harness and pedals. Under acceleration, you feel the chassis transition rearward. Hardware is only half of a good motion system. Tuning matters. We have spent hundreds of hours developing, testing and refining motion profiles that respond quickly without throwing you around.

Every PhatBoy includes MM Simulations preset tuning profiles for up to four supported racing titles, configured during onboarding for the games you choose. Additional profiles and custom tuning are available through MM Simulations remote service sessions.

Service beyond the included onboarding session and warranty coverage is available as a paid MM Simulations service. In-person service is by appointment and may include travel charges.

We built PhatBoy around substantial hardware: 25mm precision-ground ball screws, 1kW AC servo motors on every actuator, NSK bearings and enclosed actuator mechanisms. These are deliberate choices for a machine designed to move your cockpit, take repeated work and stay a serious part of your setup for years.

25mm screws. A substantial backbone.

The ball screw does the work of lifting and moving your cockpit through braking, compressions and rapid direction changes. A 25mm screw diameter makes stiffness and robustness central to the actuator design and helps maintain alignment through repeated movement.

1kW per actuator. Muscle at every corner.

Every actuator has its own 1,000W AC servo, 33% more rated motor power than a 750W motor. Moving an entire cockpit calls for substantial power, and each servo turns game telemetry into the braking, cornering and track detail you feel in the seat.

10mm lead. Rotation into motion.

Each screw revolution produces 10mm of actuator travel, a deliberate pairing with the 1kW servos for responsive motion.
